Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everyone!

I'm very excited since I am going to 2 baseball games this weekend. We're heading out to Boston tomorrow to catch the Red Sox vs Mets game Saturday night with some friends. We're staying overnight and then going again on Sunday!

Even though I am very excited for this weekend in general, I'm exspecially excited for Sundays game since we have Home Plate Pavilion Seats which are right off the upstairs restaurant at Fenway. They have waiter service and separate bathroom!

I'll defiantly post pictures when I return.

ROCK CATS VS SEA DOGS 7-13

Today was a fun day!!

I just got home a few hours ago from a New Britain Rock Cats vs Portland Sea Dogs down in New Britain. I'm a avid Red Sox fan and my friend Andy is a Mets fan and we both enjoy going to games but I'm really working on getting rid of my debt so it was/is too expensive to go this year. Last year I spent $700 on a pair of tickets at Fenway not to mention the additional $200 hotel stay. We only live like an hour and a half away but like to drink so we always stay at the same hotel in Boston near the T and just take that to Fenway and back so we can drink and not have to worry about driving.

We have been talking for the past month about catching some Minor League games instead. We tried a few times but each time it rained and we didn't go. Last night Andy noticed they were playing and we checked the weather and it was suppose to be in the 80's, Perfect!! We bought two adult and one child ticket and the total with fees came to $27.50! How can you beat that?!

I was thrilled because the Portland Sea Dogs are a Minor League team for the Red Sox! It turned out that I didn't recognize any of the players on either team(Rock Cats are a Twins Minor League team) but hey you never know they could be coming up soon. We saw alot of great players!

Every Sunday there is Family Day and after every inning the have some sort of event on the field for kids such as running races, chicken dance, musical chairs, scooter races, singing etc. After the game the kids were invited down to run the bases! We must have seen at least 10 different mascots. They were from all teams and all sorts of products and they roamed the crowd during the entire game and sign stuff for kids.

We had so much fun!! I highly recommend catching a game if you can!!

WEEKEND UPDATE

It's been a very nice relaxing weekend at home. I was in some pain but it wasn't as bad as it usually is. Hmmmm... I wonder if that new prescription is working already. Just curious, Are on of you out there on Lyrica?? I read the entire warning pamphlet and was a little concerned. My Dr was also telling me about some of the side effects like dizziness, blurry vision, feeling loopy, stay out of sun and absolutely no alcohol. Are any of you experiencing any of these symptoms?? So far so good for me, I was a little dizzy both nights when I took it but I took it at bedtime so it wasn't that bad but tomorrow I have to start taking it twice a day and am wondering if I'll be able to function OK and drive when I need to. I hate that all day loopy feeling, it's one of the reasons I stopped taking Vicodon and Percocet so soon after my surgery last year.

On to better things... My Red Sox won both of their games yesterday!! Woo~Hoo Red Sox!!! They were suppose to play Friday night but got rained out so they played a double header yesterday. I got all my laundry done in the morning so I could just flop in front of the TV all afternoon and evening to watch. Almost as good as the Sox winning was the Mets beat the Yankees yesterday. I hate the Yankees for obvious reasons but the Mets are my second favorite team. So it was a great day all around. Lets hope that both teams can pull it off again today! My family and good friends are either Red Sox, Yankee or Mets fans so we always have a good time talking trash to each other. All in good fun, Of course!

The Sox game is starting now so I need to wrap this up so I can plop my butt down and watch. This won't be completly wasted time however because I will be clipping my coupons as I watch.

The Red Sox Won again this afternoon and swept the Brewers!!

And The Mets spanked the Yankees Bad!!

The Red Sox are finally back home again! Today is Opening Day at Fenway and it couldn't have been any better. I got up early to do the errands I had so that I could make sure to get back home to watch the Ring and Opening Day Ceremonies. The show was awesome and the weather was gorgeous! And what could be better than a winning shut out(5-0) on Fenway Opening Day

INFERNO

Here we go again... basically another blah weekend, weather wise it was only so-so. Saturday was nice but today it's really cold. However, I live in a brick apartment building on the second floor with people above, below, and on both sides of me so no matter what it's doing outside my home remains extremely warm. The absolute worst is sleeping. This may sound crazy but ever night(dead of winter or not) I have to sleep with a circulating fan on high and the windows open. Friday night was awful, it was an inferno in my bedroom. I claim it was 108' in there. No matter what I tried I couldn't get cool enough to be comfortable so I could get some sleep. I'm not sure what was going on in there, at first I just thought I was too "Muy Caliente" for the room but now I'm not so sure....hahaha!

Another nights sleep lost tossing and turning, what else is new?!

My biggest disappointment this weekend is my Red Sox. We lost Fri and Sat to Toronto and the way its looking we're gonna lose today again. As an old found friend just said "I hope the Sox can beat these Canadians today. Shameful. Losing to anyone in powder blue uniforms is a tragedy!"

OPENING DAY

Woo~Hoo It's finally Red Sox Opening Day!!
Of course my boys started the season awesomely. The game was on at 6am this morning my time because it was played in Japan. I almost forgot about it until a friend was nice enough to text me and tell me it was on. At that point I was wide awake and couldn't turn on the TV fast enough... Thank Goodness I have one in my bedroom and this didn't require me actually getting out of bed. I just love baseball and the thrill of the actual season starting is great! Now of course I've been following them through Spring Training but it's just not the same as the actual season. Everybody is looking in fairly good shape and I don't think we have as many injuries as other teams but we'll see.
I'm defiantly looking forward to another winning season!
